Keep Active and Keep Well
The Len Trussell Cup is awarded each year to the clubs most improved player.
Formation of the club had taken just two months. It started in February with a demonstration in the Village Hall by Len Frampton of Inplay attended by 40 people. Jim Greatorex was able to establish sufficient interest in the formation of a club and a steering committee of eleven volunteers was formed three days later, loans for the purchase of equipment coming from members of that steering committee. Five of those initial volunteers are still members of the club.
In October 1992 the club entered their first team in the East Kent League, the Warlords, followed, as membership increased, by a second team the Warriors. Currently the club has one team in Division 2, Wingham Warlords.
New members are always welcome and the club has an open invitation to anyone interested. Come along to our club night on Fridays and give short mat bowls a try.
